Nik Racine's grandfather's diaries of World War I.
A diary of experiences kept during the first world war. Following a single man throughout the whole of the first world war, the training, trenches in France, being sent to Egypt and India and hearing how it was to fly the first planes during the war. The book includes over 140 pages with original pictures sent back from the front line.
This is a rare book only available online and at the Imperial War Museum in London. The text and punctuation may seem strange as when the book was written (in the 1920`s) commas and semi colons were used more than full stops, so there are some long sentences!
